Welcome to the CSI Farm! Uganda is an agricultural country with a vast majority of communities depending on agriculture for their livelihood, using mainly rudimentary implements to eke out a living from the soil. At CSI we are involved in agriculture with the vision to feed our nation and beyond, to provide employment and to use the produce for both prison and hospital ministry. We have acquired 170 acres of land in Luweero on which we conduct both ministry, farming activities and animal rearing. Our animals include Cattle, goats, sheep and dogs of various breeds.
Our vision
Apart from agriculture and animal rearing, we envision starting up a wellness centre that is open to the international community and that functions as a nutritional retreat. We shall grow organic protein, fruit and vegetables. The center will provide opportunities to work with the farm whilst in proximity with fellowship at the church on the farm.
We also envision constructing our university and bible college here.
Where we are now
So far we are utilizing produce from the farm to sustain staff feeding as well and we have hope to slowly expand our production to a commercial scale too. We have also given members of our community the opportunity to use a part of our farm temporarily to grow crops so that they sustain their families.
How you can be involved
We need agriculture expertise in dam construction, crop and animal husbandry. You can visit with us and share your skill with us. We are also sourcing for a farm manager.
We need a heavy duty tractor to prepare the land.
