Pastor Tucker & Irene Minister in Asia
Pastor Tucker, Irene, and their children were invited to visit Asia this last June. During their time there, they were able to speak and teach students at a local university. Below is a note from them:
Dear friends, as part of our vision to equip and empower the saints and the community with life skills to improve household incomes, develop self-sustainability and avoid the dependency syndrome which is often characterized by a carrot-stick policy, we encouraged and inspired students and businesses to assess their community needs and develop Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as a part of the interventions to their needs thereby creating employment and improving household incomes. We met with several CEOs, diplomats and other business owners in downtown Beijing.
The Chinese economy right now is booming and is the second largest in the world (see http://www.worldbank.org/en/country/china/overview). We were amazed at the volume of business in China. We encourage Christians and Christian leaders to take advantage of this opportunity to do business with China- take risks and not ride in the passive lane. We encourage ministers of the gospel to get out of the 4 walls and participate in this marketplace opportunity. God does promise to teach us how to profit (Isaiah 48:17). Let’s go for it! Individuals who cannot mobilize capital for such a business venture can pool resources together. We encourage those stuck with corporate jobs to diversify and broaden your horizons with this trade opportunity in China.
God moved enormously so much so that business executives and their employees altered their schedules to meet us at hotels. We are excited at what the outcome of these business connections will be.
Enjoy the pictures!
